Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Christ and guiding others on the same journey. It is rooted in love, commitment, and the application of God's word in daily life. As stated in Luke 6:40, “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.” This journey emphasizes building relationships that reflect Christ’s teachings and encouraging others to follow Him. The Role of Nurture in Discipleship Nurture in discipleship refers to the supportive environment that fosters spiritual growth. It involves creating authentic relationships where individuals feel safe to share their struggles and victories. This nurturing aspect is crucial for effective discipleship, as it allows for open communication and mutual encouragement. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages believers to “spur one another on toward love and good deeds,” highlighting the importance of community in the faith journey. Accountability in Discipleship Accountability is a vital component of discipleship, helping individuals stay on track with their spiritual commitments. It involves regular check-ins with others to ensure that they are living according to God’s purpose. This practice not only supports personal growth but also strengthens community bonds. As James 5:16 states, “confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed,” illustrating the power of accountability in fostering healing and growth.
The final habit is to begin identifying yourself as a missionary —a sent one. "Living questionable lives—sent" describes a concept where Christians live lives that are not predictable, but instead are marked by radical, unexpected acts of kindness, love, and faith that prompt others to ask why they are acting this way
